Forgot your iPhone or iPad Password?




Many people don't know that, how to get a new password of their iPhone/iPad, if they forgot device password. To get the new password or restore the Apple device is a complex process. Apple is providing high security on their devices, So if you forgot your device then the user can’t access the device data if the device was locked.

Here is the three-way to get the new password, if you forgot the password of your Apple device.

1) Allow access to Siri when locked with a passcode

If you have allowed the Siri to access the device without a password then, please follow below step to unlock your device.

Steps:
  •        Tap on "Setting" icon on your home screen
  •          Go to the "General settings"
  •          Select “Change Password” option and add a new password



2) Erase your device with recovery mode

If you have never synced with iTunes then, you have to use recovery mode to restore your device. This will erase the device and its passcode.

Steps:
  •  Connect your iOS device to your computer and open iTunes.
  • While your device is connected, force restarts your iPhone.
  • If you are using an iPhone X or later, or iPhone 8 or later

o   Press and quickly release the Volume Up button.
o   Press and quickly release the Volume Down button.
o   Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen.
  • If you are using an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus

o   Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons at the same time until you see the recovery mode screen.

  •         If you are using an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch

o   Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time until you see the recovery mode screen.

  •          You will see the two option 1)Restore and 2) Update
  •          Tap on "Restore" button.
  •         iTunes will download software for your device. If it takes more than 15 minutes, your device will exit recovery mode and you'll need to repeat steps 2 and 3.
  •          Wait for the process to finish. Then you can set up and use your device.


3) Erase your device from iTunes

If you have synced your device with iTunes then you can connect your device with the synced computer and you can restore your device. This will erase the device and its passcode.

Steps:
  •         Connect your device with the computer you synced iTunes and Open iTunes. (If asked for a passcode, try another computer you've synced with, or use recovery mode.)
  •         Wait for iTunes to sync your device.
  •          Take a backup before clicking on the "Restore iPhone" button.
  •          After the sync and backup have finished, Click "Restore iPhone" button.
